Rumor: Miller to extend contract with Lightning

Wichita, KS - Rumor has it that the Wichita Black Lightning are in Negotiations with All-Star LF Walter Miller. The club has been throwing around the idea of extending his contract this offseason and has approached Miller's agent about a potential deal. It is rumored that Miller is seaking a 3-year deal in the range of $25 million.

While club officials would not disclose any contract talks as the Winter Meetings have yet to start, a person close to Miller disclosed that the club was offering closer to $20 million.

Baseball Tonight Anylists agreed that Miller will likely stay with the only club he has played for after this year and were not surprised by this report.

"He'll stay," said Peter Gammons,"I have no doubt that they will come to an agreement."

Stay tuned for more developments in this story.
